For your convenience we now offer the first after-hours ultrasound service in the Goldfields – perfect for working patients.
Monday and Thursday nights 5.00pm to 7.00pm Saturday 10.00am to 1.00pm
Ultrasonographer Karen Lines has 30 years experience in general and obstetric ultrasound, having trained and worked in the UK and Australia.

Services include

• Shoulder, knee, hip, wrist (musculoskeletal)
• Ultrasound guided injections for shoulders, hips, knees
• Pelvic – general (male and female) , gynaecological, fertility
• Abdomen , Soft-tissue, Thyroid, Breast
Obstetrics – Dating scans, First trimester screening, morphology and growth scans
We are happy to provide a doctor to match your appointment with Karen so that results can be discussed, including First Trimester screening results in pregnancy All ultrasounds are payable at time of service – a receipt will be issued to claim your Medicare rebate. There are no bulk-billing services.

ADDLIFE PHYSIOTHEARPY

Silpa Dasariraju has recently undertaken a women’s health physiotherapy course to assist women work with their pelvic floor, provide support with back pain and pelvic dysfunction during pregnancy. In addition to these valuable services she offers general physiotherapy and rehabilitation and teaches Pilates. Sipla accepts EPC referral for Medicare rebates and has on-site access to Hi-caps to allow for immediate private health refunding.
Available Thursday nights 5.00pm to 7.00pm & Saturday 9.00am till 1.00pm Call Reception for appointments.

Immunisations and Travel Vaccinations

Collins Street Surgery offers all childhood vaccinations – bulk billed and with a Doctor consulted at time of immunisation. Government funded vaccinations for pregnancy, elderly and eligible patients are provided free of charge with a bulk-billed medical consult when you see a Doctor. Travel Medicine Vaccines are scripted at time of consult and then administered via our trained Registered Nurses at no charge.

Care Plans and Health Assessments

Why is it important

The team at Collins Street Surgery are dedicated to preventative medicine and clear management plans for patients with chronic disease. Patients will be invited every 3 months to attend the practice at no out of pocket costs for health reviews for conditions such as Diabetes & significant cardiovascular disease.
Patients over 75 years receive a complete health check bulk-billed every 12 months. Patients between 45-49 years receive a once off bulk-billed complete health check, including ECG.
Children between 3 years, 11 months and 4 years 11 months, receive a developmental and health assessment.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients receive complete health checks every 9 months, also bulk-billed.
Mental Health care plans and mental health care plan reviews are also conducted with the medical practitioner of your choice.

Community sponsorship and Education

Collins Street Baby Showers are an event every 2-3 months we offer the opportunity for our pregnant ladies to network, relax and learn about the services available in the Goldfields. Collins Street Surgery is proudly the nominated Medical Practice and sponsors the Silver Lake Resources, Goldfields Giants

Education - School visits

Dr Armstrong attends local schools giving education sessions to young adults. She was trained in Dr YES as a Medical Student and attended many schools during her training. Should your school like a talk, please contact reception or our practice manager. Sufficient notice will be required.


Goldfields Baby Expo

In 2015 the first Collins Street Surgery – Goldfields Baby Expo will be run, bringing together local businesses that offer services and goods to young families. Funds for this day will be donated to the RFDS and Goldfields Children’s Charity.
